Technical Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Technical Engineer to join our expanding manufacturing company.

Christie & Grey Limited is a well-established, dynamic and market leading organisation that designs and manufactures anti-vibration and shock isolation products. We supply to a wide range of marine, industrial, commercial, construction and defence clients.

Position

The Engineering team at Christie & Grey Limited play a pivotal technical and commercial role within the company, ensuring products are applied correctly and new market opportunities are identified. We are looking for a talented Technical Engineer to join our professional and friendly team here at our Head Office in Tonbridge.

Role:

  • Carry out product selection and analysis of shock and vibration control systems using proprietary analysis software and FE software
  • Apply products to new applications
  • Aid in the design of new products and development of existing products
  • Establish client requirements and specifications through technical/commercial meetings and specification reviews
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present these to the clients
  • Prepare technical proposals and drawings for internal use
  • Visit clients, including some international travel

Candidate

You must:

  • Be degree or HNC/D qualified Engineer preferably in mechanical engineering, with at least two years’ experience in an engineering role.
  • Proficient in the use of a top end 2D/3D CAD package e.g. AutoCAD / Inventor / ProEngineer / Solidworks
  • Be computer literate and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Have an enthusiastic interest in technology and mechanical engineering
  • Be comfortable meeting new people and developing relationships in an engineering and commercial environment.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of vibration isolation systems
  • Knowledge and experience of FEA packages e.g. AutoCAD Nastran Incad / Ansys
  • Previous engineering applications and sales experience

Internal Sales / Accounts Assistant

Company

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Internal Sales/Accounts Assistant to join our expanding manufacturing company.

Christie & Grey Limited is a well-established, dynamic and market leading organisation that designs and manufactures anti-vibration and shock isolation products. We supply to a wide range of marine, industrial, commercial, construction and defence clients.

Position

The Operations team at Christie & Grey Limited play a pivotal role in the day to day operations of the company and are looking for a full time talented individual to join our professional and friendly team here at our Head Office in Tonbridge.

Role:

  • Processing of customer orders onto commercial computer system.
  • Provide sales quotations to customers from our standard range of products.
  • Answer incoming telephone and reception enquiries and distribute to appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Assist in general administrative and clerical duties for office departments, as necessary.
  • Maintain filing systems for sales orders and another departmental documents.
  • Assist with various sales ledger, credit control and bought ledger activities.
