Lloyd's Maritime Academy, Technical Seminar - February, 2012 Two of our engineers, recently attended this 2 day seminar by Lloyd's Maritime Academy, entitled “Noise and Vibration - Practical guidance for combating noise and vibration challenges in shipping”. Topics covered included the primary causes of noise and vibration to prolong ship life and propeller and shaft vibration at the design stage to avoid costly repairs. The latest testing and modelling methods were considered to help understand the next generation in low noise equipment.
